Packaging & Assembly

Packaging & Assembly

Topflight’s packaging and assembly services offer customers the option of receiving fully packaged components in custom configurations. Time-to-market can be shortened by streamlining the supply chain and having one partner to help you take your products from design to market-ready. Depending upon specific requirements, the following can be done at the end of our manufacturing line, or in a particulate controlled room: assembly, stacking, packing, heat sealing, shrink wrapping, counting and hand Inspection.

Kitting is also available and helps to minimize inventory shortages and reduce material picking errors. Components arrive Just-In-Time (JIT), sorted and pre-staged, immediately ready for your manufacturing lines. All Topflight kits are thoroughly inspected and prequalified before shipping, eliminating more steps in receiving and routing, and allowing your production lines to continue operating with minimal interruption.

Cold Seal Packaging

Pressure-sensitive adhesives will permanently adhere to a surface, which makes them different than cold seal adhesives. Cold seal adhesives are used in a wide range of applications, such as packaging for medical products such as bandages, food items, and  envelopes. The unique characteristic of a cold seal adhesive is that it will only bond to itself.  If two substrates are coated with the same cold seal adhesive, a bond will occur simply by adding pressure. A heat source is not required to bond this type of adhesive. Some of the advantages of cold seal packaging include the flexibility in manufacturing, the processing speed of the packaging and the ability to perform backside printing.
